CMS Softball The CMS seniors will play their last home games of their college careers in a double-header against Occidental at 2 and 4 p.m. on Friday. The Athenas will be defending their second place SCIAC ranking, as they are tied with La Verne record-wise and only lead by runs scored. Last time the two teams met, the Athenas swept Occidental by scores of 5-2 and 9-1.

P-P Baseball

The stakes could not be higher for the Sagehen baseball team. With an undefeated 15-0 SCIAC record, the Sagehens are blazing through one of their most successful seasons ever. Currently they are No. 1 in their conference and in the nation. This weekend they will face Cal Lutheran in a three-game series with upset potential. Cal Lu (No. 16 in D-III) ominously trails Pomona-Pitzer with a 13-2 SCIAC record, only a two game deficit. Whichever team wins this series will most likely be crowned league champions. Needless to say, Friday’s 3 p.m. home game will be one of the Sagehens’ most important of the season.
