Football Suffers Tough Loss to La Verne

By Nick Grudin

Coming into the game last Saturday, Pomona-Pitzer was ranked 26th among Division-III schools, and La Verne ranked 30th. It was a perfect day for these two aspiring football teams to meet. While just the thought of running five thousand meters on a course through the woods, or sprinting up mountains in the hot sun is enough to make most people’s legs ache, the Pomona-Pitzer women cross-country runners have been doing it since the beginning of school. This year’s womens cross-country team, led by Head Coach Kirk Reynolds, has had tremendous success so far this season and is optimistic about the two upcoming league meets. [con't]
