Snack: Livid Letter Lashes Out
Dear Editor,

Snack. I’m livid. It’s a principles issue. It’s a with-age-comes-privileges issue. It’s a this is the way things always have been so wait your turn, because you’re certainly not going to want to have snack at Frank on Wednesdays when you’re living up north issue. First and foremost, however, it’s a process issue.

I think the manner in which those representatives got Snack moved to Frank is extremely irresponsible. Perhaps senators living on North Campus should enter negotiations with Dean Quinley and Dining Services about putting laxatives in the food at Frank because "it's what the student body wants." Had this been a democratic process, it would have incorporated the fact that upperclassmen were more willing to concede snack on Thursday nights because less attend. Most upperclassmen know that the food at the Junior Senior Social and Symposium is better than food at snack. That’s why we don’t go to snack on Thursday nights.

First ID moves to 11, now Snack is moving to Frank one night a week? What’s next, are we going to hire people to do underclassmen’s laundry and homework? If so would this be a work study job? How much would it pay? But I digress.

Snack belongs up North.

Lividly,
Juan Matute ’04
