The women’s volleyball team started last week 3-5 and finished 4-6, after beating La Sierra on Thursday and losing to La Verne on Friday. By Lauren Sauter

Pomona-Pitzer cross country runners are looking good this season, and I am not just talking about on the XC course. They look good drinking Gatorade, they look good eating fruit, they look good at parties, and they look good when I interview them (I’m talking about you, Andy Barnette!).

Head coach Roger Caron called the game “the biggest upset in the country this year, including Division I.”

I had the pleasure of witnessing the men’s soccer team in action, in a tough and sweaty game against the loathed CMS on Wednesday. Although normally impassive and stoic, I found myself cheering along with dozens of other students from Pomona and Pitzer. What can I say? All those young men in blue uniforms--it was inspiring.
