Regarding DesRochers’s article on FBI targeting local activist Josh Connole-

Thank you for featuring an article on the recent harassment of the Regen V co-op by the FBI on the front page of the last TSL. As a May 2003 graduate of Pomona College, I feel the need to alert current students of the gravity of the situation at hand. Unfortunately, the article did not include what role the Patriot Act played in the unjust and unfounded invasion of our home. Even more unfortunate is that so few people (including myself) have taken the time to adequately research the consequences of the Patriot Act. The Patriot Act, as I learned the weekend the FBI was at our house for thirty hours, affects us all. Hopefully this is a wake up call for all of us to inform ourselves about the current erosion of our civil liberties and take a stand against it.
