The Regals of Cal Lutheran took 3 games from Pomona-Pitzer
over the weekend of April 11 and 12. The Hens displayed some
of their best hitting of the year over the 3 game series,
reaching base safely 24 times. In game 1, the Hens' 4 errors
proved to be costly as just one of the Regals' 7 runs was
earned. Leanne Stein '03 and Emily Helliesen '03 each had

an RBI. Alex Schaible '06 pitched 2.2 innings of hitless relief

Men's Club Volleyball
Overall: 4-8
In their last match of the season, Pomona-Pitzer men's club
volleyball fell to CMS in an away game.
Although the Stags won the first two sets, 30-27, 30-24,
the Sagehens refused to give up in straight sets. In the third,
Pomona-Pitzer grabbed a surprisingly lopsided 30-20 win. Down
27-23 in the following set, the Hens rallied fiercely to tie
the score at 27 and drew the 100 plus person crowd to their
feet in the excitement.
Despite especially impressive play by four year starter and
captain Mike Chin '03, Pomona-Pitzer could not ultimately
withstand the Stag's determination, and a CMS win in the fourth
set determined the outcome. The Hens had previously beaten
Claremont earlier this semester at home in three straight
sets.
