Poem of the Week
By Nathan Fisher
What the war may mean for you
war is a real medical problem for our
new
month, snap-
our new children,
so
no longer alarmed as once were
we alarmed by excessive pauses
or excessive contradictions, extended
districts without contradiction v. no longer abandoned:
you know where this is
where your mind would float
if you had an engaging relationship with your state
your bureaucracy
your ward, your state, your metropolitan area
where your mind would suggest:
your bureau, your engaging bureau,
medi(c)ated by the else,
medi(c)ated by the prior.
