CIA Employment Information Meeting Attendees Deserve Respect
By Brendan Springstubb '05

Let me preface this letter by stating that I am a liberal, anti-war, anti-Bush member of the student body. However, speaking as one of the attendees of the employment presentation given by the CIA, I was shocked and embarrassed by the irrelevant and totally inappropriate questions being asked by students in attendance that clearly had no intent to work for the CIA, students such as the author of the recent article "CIA Infiltrates Pomona College". These individuals were sadly mistaken if the felt they were "educating" the rest of us who were there to listen to the presentation. We have all heard these stories before, and those of us in attendance weren't going to suddenly realize that we hate the CIA. Furthermore, to write and publish an article sarcastically telling other students to congratulate those of us who attended the meeting is insulting and incredibly childish. There are more appropriate ways to voice your opinion than to belittle those of us who don't share your views. Grow up.
