Women Dazzle, Bishop Advances

The top six runners on the Pomona-Pitzer women’s cross-country team traveled to Salem, Oregon last weekend for the NCAA Division III West Regional Meet and returned with results to brag about.

Men’s Season Crosses Finish Line

The P-P Men’s cross-country team concluded a successful season after traveling to the NCAA Division III West Regionals at Bush Park in Salem, Oregon. The West Regionals drew ten of the top Division III teams from the Pacific Seaboard and as far east as Colorado. Willamette University hosted the race, which took place November 10.

5-C Dance Program Reaches High Point With Trip to National Competition

It is 7:30 on a Wednesday morning in Edmunds Ballroom at the Smith Campus Center, and twelve students–seven women and five men–stand in a straight line so that each faces the back of the next in line. The women mostly wear a t-shirt, a skirt, and thin, high-heeled shoes, while the boys are clad in t-shirts, tight pants and black leather shoes with a raised heel, so as to resemble the foot of a satyr.

Heartless MLB Owners Vote for Contraction

A mere two days after one of the greatest seasons in Major League Baseball history concluded with one of the most dramatic World Series ever, the most sickening thing imaginable happened to America’s pastime. Baseball owners voted to contract the league to 28 teams, and to thereby end the existence of two Major League ball clubs.

Water Polo Takes Fifth in SCIAC Tournament

This past weekend, the Pomona-Pitzer men’s water polo team had a chance to show their good sportsmanship, teamwork, and strong knowledge of the game. But, primarily, they wanted revenge against Claremont-Mudd-Scripps.

Women Flex Muscle in Powder Puff Football, Men Lead Cheers

The cookies were a generic take on the Oreo. The name was FMV (or For Maximum Value) as it explained below. It was the simple equation of two chocolate biscuits plus a cream filled center equaled one hell of a good time.
