The Pitzer Student Senate meeting on Sunday, November 4, convened in McConnell Center with unusually high attendanceroughly 20 senators and over 70 students were present for the reading of the official resignation, submitted by Anoop Anand PI 02, the Five College and Pitzer Student Senate President.

Suspension Appealed

Citing lack of due process in the J-Board hearing that resulted in their one-year suspension, Michael Cadoux 04 and Grey Norton 04 have filed an appeal, alleging "improper judicial procedure and extraordinary circumstances" surrounding the process, according to Philosophy Professor Fred Sontag, who began advising the students after their hearing.
SAC Considers Frats Plea

The Student Affairs Committee (SAC) plans to send the Phi Delta fraternity a letter this week specifying the minimum conditions they must satisfy to be re-chartered by the college.

Pulitzer Prize Winner Speaks on Campus

Just under a hundred people gathered in the upstairs of the Smith Campus Center Tuesday afternoon to hear Pulitzer Prize winner and PBS analyst Haynes Johnson promote his new book, The Best of Times: America in the Clinton Years, as well as discuss the causes and ramifications of the terrorist attacks and the subsequent bombing in Afghanistan.
Adminstration Curbs Drinking in Public

Many students ignored the e-mail sent by Dean Quinley stating that Pomonas alcohol policy would now be enforced more strictly than it has been in the past. Unfortunately for those students, this increase in policy enforcement has indeed been enacted, and over the past two weeks many students have had to talk to Campus Security about carrying around an open container of alcohol.
