Electronic synth-pop, often reminiscent of the sounds of the 80’s. One press release calls it "Thomas Dolby meets Pac Man...Pulp meets Devo...a hardcore Duran Duran." Nevermind all that, this album is sexy as hell and will get you dancing immediately.

The Teaches of Peaches

It’s really too bad Peaches has such foul mouths, or else this would have been the KSPC hit for 2001...and deservedly so. It’s two women and a 505 drum machine doing lo-fi beats with raunchy lyrics. Despite the raunchy lyrics and song titles (cum undone, fuck the pain away, diddle my skittle, etc), peaches give listeners a positive view of women who don’t bow down to the male-dominated sex world.

Holy freakin’ cow, this is good. This broods, soars and glows and is unrelentingly passionate. The vocals growl, purr and shimmer. A standing bass, occasional piano and accordion give the songs a smoky cabaret feel.
