Even before the printing of last week’s issue of The Student Life, the question of an article that was going to be printed arose on campus, and began to cause a somewhat mild uproar.

America Should Join Global Community, Avoid Isolationism
There’s nothing like a war to jolt America out of isolationism. In fact, sometimes it seems that nothing but a war will jolt America out of its isolationism. The strong isolationist cast to public opinion in the nineteen thirties was only changed by the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor and the U.S. declaration of war.

Writers Need to Present Both Sides of Story
I am writing in response to last week’s article claiming that minority mentor groups whether purposefully, or inadvertently, tend to segregate students of color from the majority of Pomona College.
