Push Your Trays Through, People!

Editor,

With regard to Lenny Molina’s article in last week’s paper, I respect his passion and dedication to his cause, but I suggest that he reconsider using the words "no compromise" and "negotiate" in the same breath.

Next topic.

We, Pomona students, who are too preoccupied with our lofty thoughts, seem not to notice that the dish conveyor belt in Frary has been broken all year. We are apparently too weak to push our own trays through to the dishwashers, or else a dining hall worker wouldn’t have to take time from his or her other duties to stand there and give our trays a little push for us. Based on these observations, I question our ability to process simple thoughts, much less take an educated stance on an issue like the BFS/KGI controversy. Small steps, people.

And push your trays through, dammit.

Yours fondly,

Carla Lopez ’01
