ASPC President Brian Andrew's informal and non-public Senate gatherings about TSL have been the object of criticism lately. Do you believe these acts were a prudent use of Senate power?

Yes. The Senate has every right to "collect its thoughts" in order to get a grip on certain, complex issues.
No. but the constitution should be changed in order to allow exceptions.
No. And the law should stay as it is: issues cannot be discussed outside the public's view.
The fact that TSL is reporting on something that it is directly affected by makes me suspicious. I abstain.

In a photo caption accompanying "New Head Sponsors Announced," Pamela Grewal ’03 was incorrectly listed as ’02. In the same caption, James Hodgson ’02 was incorrectly listed as ’03.

In "NASA Brings Hot Air Balloon, Noise to Campus," the son of the pilot was incorrectly written up as Matthew Glick ’04. His name is actually Sam Glick ’04.

In "Swimmers’ Secrets Discovered: Gatorloding," a photo accompanying the article said that the photo was taken during a victory over Redlands. The photo was taken during a victory over La Verne.

In the editor’s note after "Eatin’ With Epi-Curious," Chili’s Happy Hour was listed as running from 4-6 pm. It actually runs from 4-7pm.


Media Studies Lacks Funding

Associate Professor Kathleen Fitzpatrick, the only professor on faculty contractually obligated to Media Studies, is going on sabbatical. Studio 47, Pomona’s student-owned-and-run production facility, has lost its location and looks to be in danger of losing its funding.

Frary Renovation Plans Nearing Completion

Frary Dining Hall will be closed for the duration of the 2001-02 school year so that major renovations can be made to the kitchen and food service area. Many questions continue to circulate regarding why this needs to happen now, how decisions have been made, and what plans exist for the interim.
