Good Riddance to Proposition 38

Proposition 38 didn't pass - and it's a good thing, too. Voucher programs are inherently unworkable. Proposition 38 intended to improve education by providing money for parents to send their children to private schools and allowing them to have a choice in their childern's education. Parents would have been able to take their children out of poor school systems and send them to a private school, and the government would give them about $4000 per child per year.

Stabbing is Shocking

I was distraught to say the least upon reading the first email sent to us concerning the stabbing of Professor Fred Sontag last week. Of course, we were all upset at the notion of such an occurrence on our own campus. My friends and I were shocked as we gathered around our computers to read the news.
