A Vote for Nader is Still a Vote for Nader
By Luc Schuster
Contributing Writer

A vote for Ralph Nader is not a vote for George W. Bush; a vote for Nader is a vote for Nader. If you think Nader would make the best president, you should vote for him. Polls asking people which candidate they would select if they carried the deciding vote have indicated that Nader is favored by over 20 percent of the population - yet it seems that most of these voters fear another Bush presidency so much that they would prefer to vote against him. Liberals Should Be More Open-Minded
By Christy Garcia
Opinions Associate

Coming to a liberal arts institution, I was not expecting the students to be staunch conservatives. However, I also wasn't expecting not to find one conservative among my circle of acquaintances. It's incredible how the majority of the students at Pomona seem to be of the same mind. Go to article

Pomona Should Radically Rethink IT Policies
By Jared Essig
Contributing Writer

ID Program Fails at Educating Students
By Robin Starr
Staff Writer

I remember getting a packet from Pomona early last summer that detailed the Critical Inquiry program. As I looked through the packet, there were so many interesting-looking classes that it took me several days to finally narrow down my choices before I sent the reply card back. Go to article

KGI is a Fiasco
By Lenny Molina & Abigail Singer
Contributing Writers

Claremont is a bubble, or so they say, and the "real world" seems almost incapable of penetrating this small Southern California town. We discuss the world's problems in our sterile classrooms, and assume that working to end them requires looking outside the bubble. But as Ralph Nader pointed out in his speech here last Friday, some of the 21st century's biggest battles are being fought right here in Claremont. Go to article

Gimp Reflects from His Hospital Bed
By Brian Rothman writing as Jacob Ganz
Photo Editor

I lie on my back, drifting in and out of a shallow sleep. It is sunrise. The room has become brighter in the past hour; I am beginning to see the details much more clearly now. A television mounted to the opposite wall, chained to a metal frame. A curtain strewn across the middle to separate me from my neighbor. Go to article
