Frary Culture Must Be Preserved

Next year Frary Dining Hall will be closed. The kitchen and dining facilities will receive a much-needed renovation, and the finished facility should rival Malott Commons and Collins Dining Hall. While Pomona students will enjoy better facilities - and thus, theoretically, a better selection of food - for years to come, the improvement comes at great cost to next year's North Campus residents. A Vote for Bush is a Vote for Rock

On November 7, an important decision will be made. It is a decision that will influence the fate of our country in ways that are hard to divine at this moment. Of course Gore wants to distance himself from Bill Clinton, the second President ever impeached. Meanwhile, Gore wants to associate himself with Bill Clinton, leader of America during its greatest prosperity ever. Go to Letter

Gloria Steinem Isn't Radical Anymore

I don't know much about Gloria Steinem. I do, however, know that she once said "if the shoe doesn't fit, must we change the foot?" Last Thursday I watched her come to Scripps and endorse Al Gore for president of the United States. I submit to you that if Al Gore is the once-radical feminist's shoe-of-the-moment, her foot certainly has shrunk. Go to Letter
