Campus Events Commissioner Tamara Chellam ’00 reported that this year’s Carnival, headlined by the Vandals, was different from previous years. Many of the concertgoers were under 17, according to Chellam; college students appeared in substantial numbers after 6 pm. Chellam also said that the beer garden was rowdy, especially during Mad Chad’s performance. More Briefs

A story in last week’s TSL wrongly identified the party that settled a civil suit between Pomona College and the families of Peter Kurahashi and Brian Cressner. The college’s excess insurance carrier, United Educators Insurance Risk Retention Group, Inc., negotiated the settlement.
