5-C Mens Ruggers Head to Big Show

The Claremont Mens Rugby Club has finally done it. They advanced to the Division II final four tournament with dominating wins over UNLV (42-17) and Westmont (32-15). These wins, which made the team the champion of the Southern California Rugby Football Union (SCRFU), secured the team a spot in the national tournament, as the #1 seed.

Four Coaches in Four Years No Help for Sagehen Tennis

The Pomona-Pitzer mens tennis team traveled all the way to Claremont McKenna this weekend for the SCIAC championships where they came in third place overall. Although the team won the doubles bracket, they were winless in singles losing a number of close matches throughout the championship.

Strong Weekend for Sagehen Track Leaves Everyone Happy

Last weekend was a big one for the Pomona-Pitzer Track and Field Team with SCIAC championships on both Thursday and Saturday, and the Pomona-Pitzer Invite sandwiched between on Friday. At the end of this three-day stretch, Mens Head Coach Pat Mulcahy, and Womens Head Coach Kirk Reynolds had a reason to be proud of their respective Sagehen track and field teams.

Sagehens Edge Mother Nature, Fall in Finals

With the Women Sagehens playing tennis at a higher caliber than anyone ever thought possible, bringing home a victory and a mighty trophy seemed almost within their power. With moral opponents unable to do anything but get slapped around the court by Hens vicious backhands, it appeared as though the Hens were unbeatable. However, the girls had not counted on meddling from a higher power.

Sagehen Golfers Pray for SCIAC Tourney Miracle

Knowing that winning the final SCIAC championship matches was the only thing that mattered, the Sagehen Golfers entered into the second of these matches looking for some sweet redemption. With their season on life support and in a coma, the Hens could only stand in the corner with their basket of flowers and their get well soon cards and hope. However it is hard to play golf well if all of ones fingers and toes are crossed, which the Hens discovered as the round wore on.
