When in Politics its Bitches & Sex
It seems as if women who have chosen to "trangress" the political system here, to boldly speak out where few women have spoken out before, have suffered for it image-wise. Someone should have warned these women that they couldnt attack Pomona on a political level without revealing their true nature as a brash, hysteric (Im not going to take it to the premenstrual level; were punks now) driven, heartless bitches.

A Question of Responsibility
Of course, things will probably never be settled in the hearts and minds of the Kurahashi and Cressner families, in the lives of their friends, as well as in that great unknown quantity, the brain of Peter Stanley.

Alum Corrects College Censorship
She turned on me a look of Olympian disdain. Well, because I am the likeable kind of guy I am, that made me press my point harder. Every time I said "CMC," the room temperature dropped about five degrees, and I think if I had said it a few more times, frost would have glazed the deans porcelain face.

Census Doesnt Need Censorship
I am writing to take issue with many of Scott Labodas assertions regarding the 2000 Census.
He begins his piece by lamenting the "government stupidity" in asking his address when it had sent the form to his mailbox and allowing him to indicate that he could not speak English "at all." A little bit of research would have revealed that these two incidents do not reveal any government stupidity at all.

Reader Lauds Editors Courage
I would like to thank TSL for the contributions they have made to the colleges this semester. The paper has, on the whole, been better planned, more substantial and more interesting than in recent years.

Students Need to Learn Respect
I find it disturbing that Pomona students have so little regard for their classmates, the Housekeeping Staff, or themselves that they would continually abuse the privilege of residence hall life. I am willing to bet that for any of us, one of the fundamental rules at home is that if you make a mess, you clean it up. The idea is a basic one and a courteous one.

Student Alleges Judicial Impropriety
I would like to discuss for a few paragraphs, if I may, the perversion of justice known colloquially as J-Board, as it relates to me, and what I intend to do about it.

Reader Retracts Recent Outrage
Im writing to apologize. Over the last two weeks, I have come to the realization, partially thanks to discussions with a TSL employee, that several of my previous statements regarding TSLs joke issue were ill thought-out and poorly conceived.

TSL is Immature, Unprofessional
Well, the fact is that it IS your 1st ammendment right to print anything you want. However, the fact that you CAN goes nowhere near to implying that you SHOULD be printing the crap which has become your norm recently. You are paid to publish a NEWSPAPER.

Jewish Jokes Just Arent Kosher
This isnt about the joke issue, really. Its about anti-Semitism and the subtle ways in which it acts. Now I was deeply offended by the "Elders of Zion" header, but I didnt for much more than a second suspect the TSL staff of anti-Semitism. I pondered, considered, and came to the conclusion that it was just a lame attempt to be funny, some joke that seemed good in the brain and failed miserably on paper.

A Cappella Elections Are Harmless
Baseless accusations have recently been levied against Cyndi "Bindi" Dahlgrott and Cinnebelle "Val" McSchnarpie, members of the premier a cappella performance art group New Genre, for leaving campaign propganda posted in Frary dining hall while voting took place.
