The Pomona-Pitzer golf team had really hit rock bottom. When the team went to the course to play, flying clubs and "cussing" were a common occurrence. The Sagehens had become nothing more than a rogue bunch of miscreants, joined loosely by something called a team, a term which they only vaguely knew.

Ill start this out by saying that Shaquille ONeal has proven to be the best player in the NBA and that the Lakers will go as far as he can take them. With Bryant and Rice filling up the hoop from the outside, and Phil Jackson tutoring and guiding him from the sidelines, ONeal finally has the support and direction to take the Lakers all the way.

Tennis Suffers Tough Loss on Hot Day, Not on Clay

t was a day hot enough to turn the red clay of Rolande Garros into a sheet of red-tinted glasshad the Women Sagehens somehow been playing in France. However, the Hens were not in France: they were in an environment even more hostile, more unfriendly, and far more snobby than anything France could ever hope to produce. The Women Sagehens were above Sixth Street.

Both the mens and womens track teams have been strutting their stuff this season with solid individual performances from a number of athletes, and a strong overall team effort. Performances by mens and womens throwers lead the list of victories, but both teams are showing promise in almost every area.
