Negative Political Campaigns Have Positive Results

I had occasion to defend myself this week after displaying an ASPC campaign poster in Wig. The poster in question accused a political opponent of actively betraying the student body, albeit in a roundabout way, through her previous actions as an officeholder.
What follows is some justification of why negative advertising, when its content is true, should be allowed or even encouraged.

Dine Relocation a Violation of Basic Rights

When I tell people about the recent forced relocation of Navajo Indians, the most common response I receive is "I didnt think that sort of stuff still happens."
What these people dont know is that since 1974, the United States government has been carrying out a relocation of the Navajo that has resulted in thousands of deaths, and has been labeled by many as "cultural genocide."The reason behind the relocation? Money.

In my stroll across campus today, I carried out my civic duty and removed all fliers along my path advertising an info session on racial profiling practices in Claremont. Let me state right now that my actions were not altogether defendable; however, enough is enough, damnit. Ive just about had it with the nauseating hypocrisy demonstrated by this schools faculty, students, and administrators on the issue of race relationsyour actions simply dont match your rhetoric.
